FORKED UP CHRISTMAS A 31-year-old Kitsap, Washington, woman was arrested on Christmas Eve after she allegedly stabbed multiple people with a fork at a local diner. The intoxicated woman informed arresting officers that she was getting ready to eat and discovered that her wallet was missing. Employees who noticed the disturbance saw that the woman -- along with a 29-year-old female friend who had drunk driving warrants -- was attacking patrons and throwing things off of tables. New York City hosted its third annual Good Riddance Day in Times Square on Monday, a day in which people are invited to shred or destroy distasteful memories from the past year. People in the past have destroyed everything from pink slips to photographs of lovers who scorned them. A dumpster and sledgehammer were provided for unshreddable items. Two-hundred fifty dollars will be awarded to the person will the most creative shredded memory. (Originally reported by AP)
A nativity scene in Vail, Colorado, was interrupted when two donkeys managed to escape. The animals were being held in a fenced in pen, but they pushed their way through it and got loose. Cops followed the tracks of the donkeys and eventually caught up with them close to some railroad tracks.Both animals were OK. (Originally reported by the AP) |
